What did dinosaurs really look like? That was the first thing I asked myself when Scott asked me to illustrate his dinosaur coloring/storybook concept.

When I draw animals, I study their anatomy and the way they move. It gives me a clear picture of what the animal should look like. Since there were no cameras (much less people) in the Mesozoic era, I have to depend on the hard work and research of scientists.

“Dinosaur Day” offers a simple rhyming story plus facts that may be more challenging for younger readers.

“Hey, let’s start a publishing company!”

Those are words I never thought I’d hear myself say.
